I’m back on Flickr with a new Explore Shot, Drops posted to the Macro Mondays Theme “Drip, Drops & Splashes”…
To do some Drop shots, you have to do a lot of installation before.
You take a small tripod or similar and hang a plastic foodbag (it may be also one of those shopping bags but it should be leakproof) you fill it with water and make a pinhole in it, that gives you consistent drops in a regular interval. The bigger the hole more drops to fall in the same time. You can call this dps (drops per second LOL)
Now adjust your camera to fast shutter, and pose it on a tripod, to focus you may have your finger into the water where the drops land (Your Camera with a Macro lens may have troubles to focus the water, that’s why posing the finger there) You may also adjust the focus manually. Be Sure to change to manual focus after you focused successfully, so you doesn’t have to focus each try again, since the drops always fall at the same focal distance.

My best friend’s currently in Costa Rica, so i had to shoot my second best friend, who always stays by my side, when I’m doing my creative work, and to take the last finish on my photographs.
My E-30 was in service , the E-510 doesn’t support RC-Flash, so the Metz had to be in the shoe, posed myself over the Book so the flash just helped out the light of the Macbook Pro itself.
Flash: -2EV, Slow, 180° with reflector card pointing down in front of the Book.
